Buying A Gun Online
This is a guide to purchasing firearms online from Kote Of Arms.
Let’s clarify a few details about the process of purchasing a firearm online. No matter where you live within the United States, we must ship your firearm to a Federal Firearm Licensed Dealer (FFL Dealer). Check all local and state laws prior to placing any order as you must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun, stockless shotgun, complete receiver, or stripped lower receiver. You must also be a legal resident of the state in which you wish to transfer the firearm. Exception are made for active duty military personnel. It is also ILLEGAL to make Straw Purchases. A Straw Purchase is the act of purchasing a firearm intended for another person.
#1 So the first thing you need to do is find a local FFL dealer we can ship to. If you do not provide a dealer in the notes of your purchase then our team will reach out to you to see what dealers can handle the transfers in your area. Use the link below to find a dealer in your area.
Arrange the transfer with an FFL Dealer (You will use this dealer as the shipping address when you place your order).
Contact the dealer and let them know you would like them to receive a firearm for transfer from Kote Of Arms.
Provide the FFL dealer with our contact information so they can send a copy of their FFL.

Ask about the transfer fee. Usually FFL dealers will charge a small fee in order to take care of the background check and 4473.
#2 Next, tell us your FFL during checkout.
Add product(s) to cart.
In the Order notes provide us the name and phone number of the Gun Store or FFL dealer we are to ship to.
If you cannot find the store that you want to ship it to, choose “CANNOT LOCATE MY FFL DEALER” at the top of the list and we will reach out to you after you place the order to find a suitable FFL dealer to transfer firearm to.
Enter billing and credit card information. Please note: You must be a resident of the state in which you wish to transfer the firearm.
Review and submit order.
#3 Track your shipment
Wait to pick up your firearm and complete the transfer.
Watch the tracking information that we provide you. Once the order has arrived at the FFL dealer of your choosing, call your FFL for a good pickup time.
In order for the transfer to be approved, your FFL Dealer is required to have you fill out a 4473 and pass a background check through NICS. This is the same form and background check you would complete if you purchased a firearm in any gun store.
Issues with Background Checks
If you are denied during your background check and the firearm is forced to be returned to us, you will be responsible for return shipping cost, you will receive a refund for the original purchase price less a 20% restocking fee, original shipping paid is nonrefundable.

WE WILL NOT SHIP ANY FIREARMS TO CALIFORNIA. NO EXCEPTIONS
WE WILL NOT SEND ANY SEMI AUTOMATIC HAND GUNS OR ANY RIFLES WITH DETACHABLE MAGAZINES TO NEW YORK STATE. NO EXCEPTIONS
All firearms will be shipped to an FFL holder only. Please email a signed copy of the FFL to firstname.lastname@example.org for whom the firearm will be shipped or have that FFL contact us directly to exchange FFl documents.
FFL copies are accepted via EMAIL or MAIL ONLY. WE DO NOT ACCEPT FFLs via FAX MACHINE
We DO NOT accept C&R FFLs.
Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are subject to additional shipping fees. Please inquire before purchase if you live in those states.
Local pickup is available and is subject to sales tax plus a $5 BGC fee (background check fee). There is a 3 day waiting period if the purchaser does not has a valid Concealed Weapons Permit.
If you are unhappy with the condition of the item upon initial inspection then DO NOT COMPLETE THE TRANSFER. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT FIREARM RETURNS AFTER THE ITEM LEAVES THE RECEIVING FFL’s CUSTODY.
IT IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK THE ITEM UP IMMEDIATELY FROM THE RECEIVING FFL. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT FIREARM RETURNS IN THE EVENT THE ITEM WASN’T PICKED UP WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF DELIVERY. (DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY MANDITORY HOLD PERIODS) NO EXCEPTIONS.
